Release 177

Updated this week

✏️ Allow renaming of the “Total cost” line item field and changing the type to “Price”

This feature will extend the configuration of the “Total cost” line item field for requests to add 2 new options.

  • “Field name” - this will now be editable. Users can add a name to replace the default.

    • Please note that the value of this field will continue to contribute to the suppliers bid total regardless of how it is named.

  • “Field type” - this will allow users to choose how the field’s value is derived:

    • “Formula” - this is the current default and allows the user to specify a formula which will be used to dynamically calculate the cost on the live request.

    • “Price” - this is a new option which means the supplier will enter only a price on the live request, with no calculation or need for additional “Price per unit” or “Quantity” fields.

🔢 Toolbar to help users more easily create line item formulas

  • This feature will improve the user experience for line item “formula” type fields on requests to help users more easily understand, create, and edit formulas.

  • Improvements will include the following:

    • The addition of a toolbar with buttons to insert fields or mathematical operators

    • A larger field for better viewing and editing of complex formulas

    • An improved “Insert field” menu with type icons to help find fields more easily

  • A clearer tooltip to describe the available syntax for formulas

  • These improvements will apply to all “formula” type fields, whether predefined fields (such as “Total cost”, and “Target total cost”) or custom fields added by the user.

📄 Export the comparison view in Excel format including totals and formulas

  • This feature will enable buyers to export the comparison view data in Excel format instead of CSV, so it can be opened quickly and easily in Excel with good formatting.

  • The report can contain multiple sheets including all exchange types in a single file – line items, questions, and evaluation criteria.

  • The report will more closely match the in-app view, including the following:

    • Header and sub-header rows which are fixed on scroll for ease of navigation

    • Totals and subtotals at all levels to match the in-app view: pages (for evaluation); sections; buyer- vs supplier-added items; grand total.

    • Formatted text and background colors to make the report easier to read.

    • Calculated fields using Excel formulas which update where values are edited in the file.

⚡️ Small improvements and bug fixes

  • Fix error downloading supplier attachments for some requests

  • Fix Network page default internal supplier list not getting updated after bulk contract import

  • Extend document bid section table to include date of latest document upload
